Meet Fred. I just bought a house and Fred came with it. He has been fed for the last 3 or 4 years by the previous owners. When I bought the house they asked if I could please take care of him. Being the cat lover that I am I couldn’t wait to get him inside however, Fred never has come inside. I recently bought his cat house that he loves. He is so sweet and loving. Just a precious little spirit!

Over the last 30 days, I have noticed Fred breathing really heavy. He looks like he is really struggling so today I took him to the vet and I have two options, euthanize him or a $8,000 to $10,000 surgery. The doctors are saying he was most likely hit by car and his diaphram has herniated causing all of his organs in his belly to shift into his chest putting pressure on his heart and lungs.

This cat is so sweet and loving and looks for me every morning like clockwork to be fed. He lets anyone pet him and loves love! I can not euthanize him but I can not afford the surgery either so I am looking for a bunch of us to pull together to help this special guy live!
