About this campaign
Freya came to us by a family member's dog having puppies. The family member couldn't afford to take care of the puppies, so we did until they were old enough to be rehomed. We kept Freya because of her immediate bond with our daughter. We have her sister Naomi also, who has a cleft lip and palate. We also have her brother Lucian.
Freya is mainly my daughter's support dog. They have a bond. My daughter's biological dad abandoned her, so she has separation anxiety and just anxiety. Freya plays a huge role in getting her through struggles.
She is outgoing, loves to cuddle, and just full of energy. She is an emotional support dog for my daughter. Freya helps comfort her and calm her during hard times. Without Freya, our daughter would struggle more than she does now.
Scott Nechbar is hopefully going to perform the surgery to put a plate in her leg. She broke her right front ulna and radius from getting hit by a car. She has had x-rays from Lollypop Farm, she was seen at the Vet ER and we have already exhausted our funds due to initial vet visits. If we can raise funds, her surgery can happen Wednesday.
We're a one income blended family. We want Freya back to normal. My wife is looking for work. She is out due to having children, and no one will hire her due to gap in work history.
