Freyja is a 4 year old German Shepherd Dog in Cadillac, MI, who needs $5,000 for TPLO - Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy.

Hello everyone, I got Freyja when she was barely 6 weeks old in February 2021. I really needed a best friend and she was perfect. Freyja loves to cuddle but she's also extremely active.

On the 8/29/25 we were playing fetch as we do. When she went running after a ball she suddenly yelped & wasn't able to put weight on her rear left leg. Bay area emergency diagnosed her with CCL a ligament tear. She needs TPLO surgery to avoid further complications. Otherwise she'll never be able to run, or jump and she'll develop arthritis. She's only 4 too young to miss out on fun and be in pain

She loves fetch, jumping and walks with mom and we were just learning how to swim. Adores road trips and adventure in general. Really whatever I do, she is game. Freyja is simply a very happy and loving girl

The cost of the surgery is $4000-$5000. And this is a sudden and unexpected expense that I'm not able to do alone. Any amount will help my girl live a happy & pain free life. Thank you and I can't wait to share updates on her recovery.
