About this campaign

Back in 2019 I saw adoption event at my local PetSmart, I’ve been wanting another dog for so long. I bring my mom along and while I’m playing with an energetic German Shepherd puppy my mom points out this small sickly looking puppy. I knew then I had to look after her. Unknown to us she was severely traumatized and fearful of all things, but once home she realized she was finally safe.

The First night she met her best friend, my first dog Coffie. Eating his food sleeping in his bed and being his shadow. Can’t be scared when you have your big brother around, even tho you’ll out grow him in a couple months. I grew up with Coffie, he was like a brother to me but Frida, she’s my little baby girl.

Frida having anxiety wasn’t easy to manage but with Coffie and myself the world wasn’t so scary. We found the love of fetch, my god she loves fetch. If we couldn’t find a ball she will bring over a rock and drop it by your feet. Another thing that I love is when I wake up only to find her in deep sleep either between my legs, along my back or nestled in my arms.

Well over the weekend I notice Frida was slow and would whimper at times. I gave her carprofen and she was getting better until she wasn’t. Yesterday morning I rush her to ER (VCA Animal Specialty Group) she wasn’t able to walk or stand. There it was diagnosed she has an impacted disc in her neck.

The surgery, mri, anesthesia, and other expenses was estimated at 14,000-17,000. I had no choice but decline. I ask around but understandably no one was able to help financially.
