About this campaign
Frito is a chihuahua who came into my life 11 years ago. He was one year old and living with my best friend Sabrina. She was no longer able to keep him, so I decided I wanted to take care of him. Frito currently lives in our home with my myself, my mom and my stepdad. He has a little brother who is a pit bull named Dallas. He also has to cat brothers, spaz and snowflake.
I was diagnosed with Autism as well as anxiety and depression. Frito has been with me every step of the way for support. He enjoys going on walks and riding in his pet stroller. He loves to wrestle with his cat brother and chase Dallas around the yard like a big dog. Frito enjoys spending time with his grandpa where he is sure to get snuggles as well as his food prepared just the right way.
When Frito is happy to see you, he will sometimes howl. He recently sang grandpa happy birthday with the family by howling with us. Every once in a while, he will feel like playing with his favorite toy, a mini lamb chop character that none of his pet brothers are allowed to touch. He enjoys taking treats and guarding them.
Frito has been overall healthy. We normally go to East Padden Animal Hospital but up until recently when he was in an altercation with a neighbor dog, we were referred to, PNW Pet ER and Specialty, Dr. Joseph Kowal. He feels Frito has a slipped disc that is causing him to not be able to walk or balance.
This is a very unexpected expense. The MRI will cost around $4000.00, and the surgery will be about $6000. In total we are looking at around $10,000. We really want Frito to be out of pain and the happy little dog again. He is my best friend and support. He is family.
