About this campaign

We got Fritters in May of 2021 from a rescue that had found him and his littermates abandoned in a ditch. He immediately became part of our family. My now 16 year old daughter has severe anxiety issues. Fritters became her emotional support animal. He has soothed her through a couple of really low points where I am not sure if it weren't for Fritters I might be without my daughter.

On Tuesday March 26th We noticed Fritters was struggling with his breathing. He was not as energetic as normal. He kept coughing and was trying to vomit. So at 1:30 in the morning we drove him 45 minutes to the emergency vet at Purdue University. They have determined that he had a rupture in his lung that allowed air to settle in his chest cavity. They are doing tests to determine surgical needs.

Fritters is a big sweet loving baby. He loves to play and do his
"tricks" he is an emotional support animal for my daughter who is fighting anxiety based mental health issues. There have been some pretty rough moments for my daughter that Fritters has soothed her through. I love him, evwn if he wasn't so great at helping my daughter. He is worth the world.

I have gone back to school to do better for my children. I am currently getting ready for week 11 of 12 of student teaching. I have no income for another month. I spent every penny I had for my family last night just to start his care. I get very little support from my Ex.
