Fritz is a 10-year-old Boxer/American Bulldog in Los Gatos , CA, who needs $2,000 for meningioma debulking.

Fritz came into our life as a newborn puppy, abandoned by his owners. We rescued him immediately and have been in love ever since. We named him Fritz because it's a German name and we thought it was fitting for him. We live in the Santa Cruz mountains and have lots of space to play in. Fritz has a feline brother named Flea who runs the household :)

Fritz is very intuitive with us. He knows so many words to a point where we have to spell a lot of things out so we don't excite him on accident. He is constantly looking for cues from us on how we feel and what we have planned for the day. We laugh and say that Fritz has FOMO (fear of missing out) he always wants to be with us. He loves being warm and on anything soft.

We are going to have the tumor removed again and this time we want to follow it up with either chemotherapy, radiology or immunotherapy so that it does not grow back.

Fritz has been though a myriad of health issues in his life. He had both ACL's replaced in his knees at the age of 3 and in 2019 his Veterinarian, Dr. Vitale at Sage Hospital in Campbell, CA found a cancerous tumor on his spine. She removed it successfully but this month we have found out that it grew back. He is declining in health quickly, can barely walk or go potty on his own.

Fritz is a total athlete- ball and frisbee have been his passions. We used to have to apologize to other dog owners because Fritz was always the first to the toy- he is so quick! Fritz is extremely trainable, (loves treats) so we have taught him some fun party tricks like getting a beer from the fridge. When our family or friends come over, Fritz always greets them with a toy, ready to play.
