About this campaign

I rescued Fritz from a local non profit shelter two years ago. He began to have trouble urinating — straining, yowling. I raised funds with a GoFundMe campaign, which got me through an appropriate veterinarian. X-ray showed a stone in his bladder that will cost $3500 to $4500 to safely remove. I am 68 years old and on Social Security. He’s my companion and a source of comfort. I love him so much.

I hope his condition is not going to be chronic. He’s on a urinary diet that our vet says will keep more stones from forming. But it will be better if we can get this stone removed before it becomes urgent and even more expensive.

Fritz is playful, affectionate and SMART. He plays fetch, gives little high fives for his treats, and he brings me “gifts.” He brings me tea bags, my ear phones and his favorite mouse toy. When he wants me to wake up he brings me his toys in my bed.
Once I was crying and he jumped next to me and placed his paw on my cheek. Oh he’s just incredibly precious.

My last resort will be to have him euthanized. I can’t bear the thought of that. But it’s my last option. I am at my maximum limit on my credit card.
