Frodo Barkins came into Nathan and Heather's life shortly after they first moved in together in 2017. They had agreed not to get a dog for a while, but within a month rescued Frodo after meeting him.

Frodo has a complete ACL tear in his back leg. He is not able to bear any weight on it and is in a lot of pain. He has become quite depressed due to his limited movement and pain. Frodo will be getting surgery at Madison Vet Specialists in Madison, Wisconsin with John Silbernagel.

Frodo Barkins is a loyal, kind-hearted, goofy, and loving good boy. He is a proud brother to Norah, and tolerates her taking his toys or his bed. He loves to snuggle, chase squirrels, and sit under the dining table to wait for fallen table scraps. He is known for having a stock-pile of stolen socks from every member of the family. He is the best dog and we hate seeing him in pain.
