Gambit is a 7-year-old French Bulldog in Lake Wales, FL, who needs $2,000 for Hospitalization.

Gambit was rescued from a breeder and has been with us for a little over a year. He has become part of the family. He is a sweet 7 year old boy that loves to play. We live in a rural part of town surrounded by wooded areas with plenty of space for him to exercise and enjoy the outdoors. He is one of four pets.

Gambit quickly became family when we brought him into our lives. He is so sweet with our three children and loves to play with them outside. He is also best friends with our two rescue kittens. He is a cuddler, lover, licker and incredibly strong for his breed. He continuously finds new ways to make us laugh and love him even more.

Gambit is one of a kind. As a frenchie, his nose is cute and smooshy. This is why he sometimes snorts like a pig and causes all of us to laugh. He is incredibly fast for an old man and enjoys playing outside with the kids and other animals. As long as he has a tennis ball to fetch, he is a happy boy.

He escaped from our yard for about 13 hours. When returned, it was clear he had been attacked by a coyote or much larger dog. He is unable to tolerate oral medication and is at risk of infection. Dr. Irelan is recommending hospitalization for IV medication therapy to get him back to health and possible surgery.

I am a full time working mom of three children. The income I make goes straight toward all our daily necessities. I did not have a savings built up enough to support an emergent vet situation. Any help is very appreciated.
