Garfield is a 9-year-old Shorthair Domestic Cat in Forney, TX, who needs $1,000 for P.U. Surgery.

I adopted Garfield from Rockwall Animal Shelter in summer of 2016, I asked for the "sweeetest kitty" they had in the shelter. He has been my emotional support animal from the jump, he helped me get through an abusive relationship and has helped me cope with pain mentally, physically and emotionally.

We describe Garfield as our "lover boy", he is a lover not a fighter! You can always find him by your side to be snuggled and to have chin scratches, he sleeps next to/or on my head every night.
He is extremely gentle and sweet towards my daughter and any child that enters our home, he wants to "bonk" everyone first then will let them be! We call him the Man of the Household :)

He is incredibly special to us, he has a quirky personality that literally makes me laugh everyday! Every day when I get home from work I throw everything down and lay on the ground while he lays on my chest and gives me my lovens! He helps me clean the house by following me around and talks the ENTIRE time, which is so cute since he has a high pitched voice and has a big boy body.

He has urinary blockage and needs emergency P.U. surgery. They are keeping him at the veterinary clinic and monitoring how he is before they perform his surgery. We have already spent four days at another facility for this urinary blockage and have already spent $4,400 there.

I am currently unemployed, in process of finding a new job. I am a single mom, who had left an abusive relationship with the father of my child, I pressed charges on him and have constant lawyer fees, and he also does not help with financial assistance with our daughter.
