Garfield was chosen by my son right after we found out my husband was terminally ill. We wanted something that would take his mind off things and comfort him, which he did,, as much as anything could. He's always been there for my son, & for me. We adopted another cat, Soma (the black one in the photos) 4 years ago and , even though they're both male, they're best friends, they cannot be apart. We also have a dog, Muffin, who is about Garfield's size and will lay next to him and Garfield will put his head on Muffin's paws, and Muffin will lick the top of his head. Muffin won't get near Soma, but he adores Garfield.
