About this campaign
My daughter and I found Gary in the middle of the road. He had been hit by a car and left. We are assuming he was a stray, he was not neutered and had fleas. I am making the choice to adopt him and take care of all of his needs.
Upon taking him to the emergency vet, it was determined that he had a fractured jaw in at least two places, pneumothorax and pulmonary contusions. He is currently at Flower Mound Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Center awaiting surgery at Veterinary Dentistry & Oral Surgery of North Texas to repair his bilateral mandibular fracture.
Even though he was a stray, left alone in the middle of the road with life threathening injuries, he is still the sweetest little boy. He purrs and meows and lets the veterinary staff care for him.
Last month I had to take my cat Calla to the emergency vet. She had to stay in the hospital for a couple of days and the bill for that was close to $7,000 that I had to take out a loan for to pay. I've paid $2500 so far for Gary's care and can't afford much more.
