Gemini's a sweet, loving cat who has found herself in a heartbreaking situation. She was urgently surrendered to the Adopt a Cat Foundation because her previous owner was moving and couldn’t take her along. Unfortunately, that’s not where her story ends – it’s where it truly begins.

When Gemini arrived at her temporary foster home just a few nights ago, she was in rough shape. She came in a cardboard box falling apart, and both she and the box were covered in live fleas jumping around. The poor girl was also struggling with an upper respiratory infection, which made it hard for her to breathe and feel comfortable. To make matters worse, she was not spayed and was in heat.

Her foster, has now noticed signs of pyometra – a serious and potentially life-threatening infection of the uterus that can cause a distended belly and bloody discharge. Gemini is being taken to the vet ASAP to get the care she urgently requires.
