About this campaign

Gemma is a 9-month-old puppy I rescued after she was run over by an electric bike and left injured on the street, for 6 days with a homeless man. I fought to save her and have cared for her ever since. She lives with me and my other dogs, and despite everything she has been through, she is full of love, energy, and trust. She is truly part of my family.

After her accident, Gemma needed emergency orthopedic surgery to place a plate in her leg. Now that she’s growing, the plate is causing painful friction and swelling, and two cysts have already formed. Her veterinarian at Sevilla Veterinary Hospital and Dr. Pedraza said the plate must be removed immediately to prevent further damage.

Gemma is the sweetest, happiest puppy despite everything she’s survived. She is gentle with children, adores my other dogs, and follows me everywhere. She loves cuddles, belly rubs, and greeting everyone with her whole tail wagging. Her resilience and loving spirit make her incredibly special to myself, she has become my family.

I’ve exhausted my savings and credit cards from her first surgery and ongoing aftercare. I cannot afford the urgent plate-removal surgery she now needs. Getting her healthy again would mean everything to me—Gemma deserves a pain-free, happy life after all she has survived.
