About this campaign

Gemma came into our lives nine years ago in the most special way. My husband, Dillon, was working at West Toledo Animal Hospital when Lucas County Pit Crew brought Gemma in. The moment she saw him, she jumped right into his lap, almost like she chose him. Dillon sent me a selfie with her that day, and I instantly knew she was meant to be part of our family.

Gemma was diagnosed with bladder stones after showing signs of a UTI. The vet says she needs immediate surgery to remove them before they cause a blockage or more pain. I have some CareCredit funds but not enough to cover the full cost, and I’m seeking help to get her the urgent care she needs.

Gemma is my soul dog, my constant comfort and joy through illness and hard times. She gives me purpose and makes our family complete. My son calls her his sister, and we have her portraits throughout our home. Her love is unconditional, and life wouldn’t be the same without her.

Our household is on a limited income, and we’re currently facing financial hardship. With only one source of income and essential expenses to cover, we’re unable to afford the full cost of Gemma’s needed surgery without assistance.
