Genna is a 9 year old Mix-Breed in Midlothian, VA, who needs $2,000 for Radiation.

Genna was rescued from a ditch at about 4 months old. She was discarded from a vehicle in front of us and they drove off. She has been an amazing companion from the time she entered our lives. They say you don’t choose a dog , that they choose you. It was the perfect situation for us all.
After 9 amazing years she now needs the help that she gave us

Genna has been battling some cognitive issues for the last few months. After negative tests for cushings disease and both inner and middle ear infections, we took her to a neurologist. The MRI revealed a large cancerous tumor near her brain stem. She has been given a 2-3 month survival window without treatment. With a full round of radiation she has 12-18 month window of survival

She has helped us through many tough times in our lives. She has 2 four legged brothers that she loves to play with , but also reminds who’s boss! She senses if you’ve had a bad day and shows compassion and love only an animal could. She loves walks in the woods as well as water time.

We are currently going through some difficult times . I’ve been out of work recovering from shoulder surgery, my spouse is on a fixed income from disability and suffers from multiple lungs issues requiring in home oxygen use. Genna is more than a dog, she’s family
