About this campaign
Geore and his brother, Mini, were oops-kittens from the beginning of the pandemic. Their mother got outside on her first heat, right at the beginning of the pandemic, and then again shortly after they were born. They were bottle fed for the first week or so of their lives. They had homes lined up, but those homes fell through due to pandemic circumstances.
George is a cuddle bug. He likes to sleep on my pink weighted blanket, or my plush throw which has been dubbed the magic kitty blanket. He is often found cuddling with the other cats, or one of us. He has a distinctive meow for when it’s time to wake up and feed him, though he tends to jump in your arms for snuggles when he sees you moving in the morning.
We’ve been laid off due to COVID. I had expected to be back to work by now, but things havent played out that way. We were able to borrow from family to cover a portion of his last surgery, and have now paid that off as well as the 50% deposit for this surgery.
So, as mentioned, George has a thing for nerf darts. He ate one in January, got very sock, and had emergency surgery to have the rubber tip removed from his digestive tract. He had the cone off for a week or so, and managed to find more nerf darts! He threw up what appeared to be 2 darts, with the little rubber tip of one not present in the vomit. He needs surgery to have that one removed now.
He refuses to drink water from a dish. It has to be in a glass, preferably the one we’re using, though he’s been known to sit on the counter beside the sink, on front of whatever water glass is there and meow until its filled. He prefers dry food over wet food, and has a thingy for merf darts, apparently.
