George is a 10-year-old Tuxedo Cat in Sacramento , CA, who needs $2,000 for Enucleation Unilateral of Left Eye.

I met George when he barely opened his eyes. He was following a ant across the floor. So I named him Curious George. George has been with me while escaping an abusive spouse and homeless. The only source of love and gave me the strength to not give up. He has raised 3 sibs. Sito,Onyx,(sadly passed on April 11, 2023) and Pearl. He is a very loving boy. He still has life to live and love to give.

He sleeps on the bed or my pillow. Loves to play ball and chase his mice. A very smart boy. He will tap my hand for treats or attention. He is patient wearing his halloween costumes. He watches over the kids while they nap. Loud noises terrify him. Causing him to hide shaking. He is leash and harness trained. And Loves playing in the tall grass pouncing on unsuspecting leaves. Such a love bug.

George loves fresh fruit,beef jerky and Popsicles. He plays hide and seek and tag with me. And brings me gifts. Usually mice(still alive). He has been my constant companion for ten years. He loves to talk to me. I am thankful for each day we share. Each one made special by him just being in my life. Just looking at his face will make even my worst days easier to deal with. He is home to me.

George was seen 9/6/23 at VCA Bradshaw animal hospital for his left eye. It is bulging out of the socket and cloudy. Causing him a lot of pain and affecting his appetite. Dr.Paech made it very clear his eye needs to be removed if George is to live pain free but not sure if it's due to a tumor or damage or systemic without scan and blood work. Or put him to sleep. Which I can't do. It's curable.

After escaping my abusive husband i lost my job during covid. I'm currently unemployed and waiting for disability decision. Living with several medical issues and without income I lost my home ending up moving in with sister. Leaving me to rely on her for all basic needs.
