About this campaign

George McFly, my little monster that had unexpectedly come into my life only months after we had lost another beloved pet that had left a hole in our hearts. He was found outside right before an intense heat wave in Oklahoma. He was a year-old stray that came from around the neighborhood, where proper shelter and food were not always available to them, and dangers from other aggressive animals.

Noticing a strange display of behavior with stress and bathroom habits, we took him in to be seen by the wonderful people at VCA Woodland Central. As of January 27th of 2026, George had been diagnosed with urethral obstruction with crystals in the bladder that requires an urgent procedure to be done along with a couple nights' stay to ensure his health for this life-threatening condition.

My heart was set on him the moment I drove over to see him for the very first time, and it was like something had clicked between us when I first held him, and George held on tight, refusing to let go, and ever since then he has become my best friend and ESA animal, and helped me through the roughest times of my life as an amazing support when I was trying to navigate through my mental health.

It is difficult to say that we need all the help we can get. The combined surgery and overnight stays are far too great of an expense out of our capabilities, especially while I have been struggling for the last few months to secure a job to support this financially.
