Georgie is a 12-year-old Mix in Jacksonville, FL, who needs $700 for Spleenectomy and Tumor Removal.

Georgie came to live with us because like many other pets someone got him and didn’t realize he was going to get big. We got him at a year and he was almost to my waste and my son fell in love with him instantly. Although he was a giant he was the most gental loving dog we had ever met. He quickly became family and went everywhere with us. He loves everyone and they love him. Even cats.

Georgie stays in the room with either me or his boy. He goes to friends house for play dates and cuddles with the grand babies. It’s been great watching him interact with everyone and everything he meets. He cuddles with everyone and even my friends cats and bunnies. Greatest times ever. He loves to play with his boy outside and watch tv after.

I never thought of how much he makes things better in my home until he was kidnapped and it took us calling the police to get him back. The people offered money and even offered to get my son a different dog but he said no and told them to give him dog back he couldn’t sleep with out him. He makes our home our home.

Georgie started drinking excessively and peeing all the time. His blood work came back all normal and we were dismissed as it was just him. We had him checked again and they did an ultrasound a found a large mass on his spleen that was making him have pain and abdominal pressure. We were told he needed a surgery .

Nothings worse than being told your family need a surgery and you don’t have money to save their life. I’m a single father and this is the hardest thing I have ever had to do asking for help is hard but we want Georgie to stay with us
