Gerry and Doggy and Struggling. You Can Be Their Hope

When Gerry and Doggy were rescued by Baw Baw Animal Welfare, they were finally given the chance to leave suffering behind. But for these two dogs, rescue was only the beginning. Now, they urgently need medical care to heal.

Gerry arrived in heartbreaking condition. He is battling severe dermatitis, and even more concerning, he is passing blood in his stool. A sign that something serious may be happening internally. His veterinary team has already begun emergency treatment, including IV fluids, medications to control bleeding and infection, Vitamin B12, and critical blood testing to determine what is causing his illness. His next steps depend on those results, and every hour matters.

Doggy is also fighting painful dermatitis that has left his skin inflamed and uncomfortable. He has started treatment for his skin, but he also needs diagnostic blood work to uncover any underlying health issues and ensure he receives the right care before his condition worsens. We’re hoping for the best.

These two dogs have already endured more than they ever should have. They deserve the chance to recover without their medical care being limited by a lack of funds.
