Estimated to be 7+, Gertie came to me as a stray who'd been hanging around my apartment complex trying to find a human to take her in. She's too sweet to be a street cat and was finding refuge in the second level of the buildings in my complex. She was scanned 2x for a chip, posted on FB, and I've scoured lost pet pages. If she was someone's, they don't seem to care she is missing. She's home now.

Gertie has stage 4 dental disease. Since she was a stray, we don't know anything about her medical history. We do know that she has had her upper K9s surgically extracted at some point and she is missing quite a few of her other teeth (don't know if they were surgically removed). She needs a deep cleaning and possibly some extractions.

Gertie is the sweetest soul. She would snuggle without ever stopping if she could. Between endless kisses and making mini biscuits during snuggle sessions, Gertie has captured our hearts and deserves nothing but the best life she can live.

Taking this sweet baby in means taking on all of her medical needs. It's no surprise that dental care for both animals and humans is incredibly expensive. The cost of dental care shouldn't prevent Gertie from being able receive it. She deserves to have a pain free mouth.
