I got Gertrude from an LA County shelter October 2020. She was a little over a month old and she was just the cutest little kitten ever. I did a little visit with her before I took her home, and she immediately got on my shoulder and started to fall asleep. From then on I knew it was meant to be. I have another cat named Jolene, and they are the best of friends. They play, eat and sleep together.

Gertrude loves to run around and play with my other cat Jolene and the family dog. Gertrude loves to play with the little crinkle cat toys and the wand toys. I would have to say that Gertrude’s favorite thing is to sit in the big window that we have at the front of our house. When it comes to the other ppl in my family Gertrude loves them. She loves to take naps with my mom.

Gertrude is the cutest little sassy cat. She is a tuxedo cat and I feel like that look fits her perfectly. Everyone always talks about how fancy and prissy she behaves and walks. Something that makes Gertrude special to me is how when she kneads she still uses her mouth to suckle on her little cat blanket like she’s still a baby. She’s done that since the day I got her snd she’s 2 years old now.

Gertrude’s hemoglobin (the vet would like for me to get her hemoglobin checked daily), red and white blood cell count are all out of wack. She needs to get some X-rays done, a bone sample, and anemia real PCR panel, and a single tissue biopsy.

I have a job and it’s pretty much full time, but I do not make enough to cover all off Gertrude’s medical expenses. The vet bill is more than my entire check. Gertrude is the first cat that I was able to get on my own, and I love her a lot. I would be devastated if she
