Gherkin is a 5-year-old in Caldwell , NJ, who needs $1,200 for Heartworm treatment injections and cardiology.

My brother found him 3 weeks ago tied to a tree in Florida he brought him to me I was going to find a home for him. Then we found out he has heartworm and we decided to keep him and try to get him healthy everyone else suggested we put him down and I cant bring myself to do it he’s fighting to hard to live ..he’s 5 years old chihuahua mix I just want to give him a fair shot at a loving home .

He’s so sweet and loveable and his fur siblings adore him . He’s gentle and just wants hugs something he never got with the people before .it’s going to be a long road for him but I know he has the strength and fight to pull through this . The fact he still so open and trusting with humans melts my heart

He is just so loving and trusting despite what he’s been through a true fighter and Inspiration . No matter what happened he still is soooo trusting and just loves to jump in your lap and give kisses he has so much more to offer it’s not his time yet please help me save him . He has no hair from where he was chained to a tree and him having heartworm was prob the main reason the dumped him .

He has his rabies and distemper he has heart worm his dr is de fadeena at veterinary medical center of Caldwell. They say his heart is enlarged and he’s on doxycycline and prednisone we need money for cardiology and injection treatments. I work full time I have a senior dog that has a cancer I just spent most of my savings on for surgery I plan on getting a second job to play for this but it’s crucial we get money now bc this has to be taken care of right away bc he’s already in danger of possibly dying
