Gia is a 7-year-old Chihuahua in Milpitas, CA, who needs $2,000 for Removal of Left Eye Surgery.

I adopted Gia a little over 5 years ago. She is such a joy. She is definitely a daddy's girl. I also adopted Jessi a little over 4 years ago. She is also a Chihuahua. Gia has been very healthy until recently.

Gia is very happy at home She is very much a lap dog. Gia and Jessi are like sisters. They interact very well. She gets along with others very well. But I am her favorite.

I remember when I went to the humane society and they were showing me several different pets for adoption. When I saw Gia, she was shy and cuddled in her blanket. After interacting with her, as I was getting ready to leave, she came over and sat down in front of me and looked up with those brown eyes and that was it. She came home the same day. Stole my heart.

Recently I had noticed her left eye had swollen and closing. Had pus in the eye and was painful. I took her to Benton medical specialist ER. It was determined she had abscessed tooth. I then took her to Animal medical clinic in Milpitas. Dr Rami was nice enough to work with me. I had to take her to eye specialist, her left eye has to be removed.

I live on social security. I recently had to file bankruptcy because of my daughter. My monthly budget is stretched to the max. All I care about is that my little girl ok and no more pain. She is my life.
