Giblet is a 13 year old American Shorthair in Costa Mesa , CA, who needs $2,000 for Rear Leg Amputation.

We found Giblet as an abandoned stray kitten who was left all alone in a pumpkin patch when we lived up in Ventura, CA. It wasn't long before he went from a scrawny, dirty kitten with mange into a truly handsome & mighty little lion. We've been through alot since then including losing everything we owned in the Thomas wildfires & made the move down to Orange county, CA.

Sadly, Giblet was last seen sitting out on my front lawn one night, when I noticed too much time had gone by without him checking in. After that, he went missing for 2 weeks until I found him on the OC Animal Care website. It was my traumatized cat with big, scared eyes, facial wounds, part of his ear missing & a fractured rear leg oddly positioned to the side. It felt completely surreal.

Giblet is such an incredibly SWEET boy & everyone who knows him loves him...& I'm not lying when I say that he's more popular with the neighbors than I am. He is very protective of his lil sissy LuLu, who happens to be a chubby Pug mix & EVERY time I take her out for a walk, Giblet loyally tags along & follows right behind us. We never taught him to do it but it's all the neighbors ever talk about

One month prior to Giblet going missing, he was taken to VCA Speciality hospital for vomiting & no appetite. We paid $1800 for labwork, x-rays & IV fluids which revealed a heart murmur & hyperthyroidism. Sadly now, we can't afford $2000 amputation surgery that he needs
