Gigi is a 8 year old Mix-Breed in Grand Rapids, MI, who needs $1,300 for Surgical Repair of Fracture.

Gigi walked up to Jose screaming in the middle of the night in 2017. We brought him in and he has been with us ever since. His name is Hades, but because he resembles the Studio Ghibli cat “Gigi”, that has been his nickname for the past six years or so, it’s the name he now goes by. Gigi gets along with everyone in the house but he does have a cat nemesis called Loki.

Gigi is at Harborfront Hospital for Animals in Spring Lake, MI. On 06/23 he suffered what was diagnosed by emergency vets as a fractured jaw. They also thought it was dislocated. The emergency vet was unable to reform the procedure, so Harborfront was recommended for surgical repair.

Gigi is hilarious. He brings so much joy to the house, and loves having a long conversation (or argument) with any human that will entertain him. A bit of a stalker, Gigi thinks it’s his duty to escort his mom to & from the bathroom. He takes it seriously.

He is a sweet, cuddly boy that loves to bury his face into your armpit. Though he also has a spicy side and you have to earn his trust first!

I lost my job recently. Then, my 16 year old dog went to the emergency vet as well. This visit was less than a month ago, and wiped out our savings, though our boy still had to be euthanized in the end.

We were not expecting another pet emergency so soon after that visit.
