Gilbert is a 11-year-old Tuxedo Cat in MURFREESBORO, TN, who needs $1,300 for Perineal Urethrostomy (PU).

Gilbert was a birthday present for my grandson's 4th birthday! We got him when he was 8 weeks old and he is now 11 years old! Gilbert is a tuxedo cat and has been the best cat we have ever had! Now as he gets older he is having some health issues 😭 we have been through a lot with Gilbert. He broke his leg at about 2-3 years and had to have surgery and a pin in his leg.

My grandson wag Gilbert every where when he was a kitten! He trained himself to go outside and use the bathroom. Although I keep a litter box in the house! Now that he's getting old, he's pretty lazy. He is very affectionate to all of us and his favorite spot to sleep is in my lap or my recliner chair. He talks to me a lot and meows until he gets what he wants, either to go outside or food.

Gilbert has a couple of friends in our neighborhood that he likes to visit. He can be patient when he wants to be, like sitting in front of his bowl until I get my coffee in the morning. He will just about let me do anything to/with him and that is a lot of trust for a cat. I usually laugh at him when he just repeats after me, meow... meow in different tones to match mine.. LOL he is much loved

Gilbert needs a surgery for a urinary tract blockage! This surgery is about 1200$+. He will not survive without this surgery! He was in the hospital December 3rd and had his kidneys flushed and the vet recommended the in depth surgery but we could not afford it so we went with the flushing! We are already 24 hours into this critical situation 😞

I don't want my fur baby to suffer from something I can't afford to fix! 😭😭 I have cried all night and day over this cat trying to figure out how to help him.
