About this campaign
I rescued Ginger from a lady who couldn't keep him as a baby kitten. He was only 5 weeks when I got him. I was told he was 8 weeks. He has been to the vet and was diagnosed with feline lukemia when he was a few months old. He is loved by 3 young kids of mine. And has a little brother kitten his age named Whisker.
Ginger lives with 2 adults and 3 young kids and his little brother Whisker. Whisker was also a rescue cat. They play all the time together. He sleeps everywhere he can. His favorite spots are on the top of the couch by the window. He loves a certain blanket that is very soft and stays cold. When the sun is out he will try to soak up the sun through the window. Lately he tends to lay where it's cold
Due to spending my saving on getting him treated at the Vet hospital and the neurologist. I maxed out the care credit I had and only have very little to pay for an MRI. I want Ginger to have a chance at life. And I can't give him that if I don't know what's going on.
Ginger started limping about a little over a month ago. Originally we all just thought he hurt his leg jumping around. Then a few days later he struggled to walk. I took him to the hospital and they sent me to a neurologist. The neurologist MedVet wants to do a MRI and spinal tap to see what is wrong. Either he has a growth in his spine or injury. She has him on steroids but they are not working.
Ginger is a very loving cat. He always wants the love and attention in the house. He will lay with you and sleep next to you. He was so playful before this happen. He loved to play with the ball that had little bells in it. He would kick it all around. He would kick it towards you when he wanted you to roll it! He always sticks his face in your in the morning and greets you.
