Ginger is a 12 year old Japanese Chin in Florissant , MO, who needs $695 for Cytology and X-ray.

Ginger came to us when my brother was working at a puppy barn in New Jersey. She was sick as a puppy and the workers there didnt think she would make it but her resilient spirit pulled her through. Now we have already had a beautiful 12 years with her. I cannot say enough great things about my Ginger and her beautiful soul. I only want her to know i did my very best and would never give up on her

Recently my dog had been examined for a mass in her rectal area. The vet said it is most likely cancerous but we cannot determine this without a biopsy. The cost will be around $600- i would have to double check with the office. The importance of this test for us is to get confirmation that it is cancer, and the type , and how we can keep her as comfortable as possible if nothing can be done

Every time Ginger has visited with the vet , groomers , or people, everyone has always said how calm and gentle she is. She has a warming presence. She is very intelligent and could even be a trickster at times. She still loves to roll around in the grass at her ripe age which I find to be wonderful, it makes me smile. She has a strong will to live and has overcome a lot. I admire her strength.

While this may turn out to be end of life care, I didnt want to make Ginger suffer in any way shape or form it it can be avoided. This biopsy would completely change our approach on how to care for her and keep her comfortable if it turns out to be cancer.
