Ginger is a 8-year-old Red Nose American Pit Bull Mix in Tobaccoville, NC, who needs $1,700 for Unilateral Mastectomy and Canine Spay.

Ginger was rescued from a friend who could no longer have dogs in their apartment when she was just a few months old and she has been with me ever since.

She is a very affectionate dog--loves people and other dogs. She spends her days in my fenced in backyard and sleeps on my back porch at night. We visit the local dog park as often as possible.

She loves to visit new places and go see friends and family. Her favorite toy is her tennis ball which she will carry around all day if you let her. When she gets bored she will start chewing on it until it no longer looks much like a tennis ball. Also she is a furious ball chaser and will dart out after her tennis ball like a rocket, but she will not always return with it.

She was a good mother and had several litters of pups but those days are over now. She has a mammary tumor that needs to be removed if possible.
