Just two months ago, Ginger’s veterinarian was able to temporarily treat the prolapse by placing it back inside and stitching it. At the time, her family was warned that if the prolapse happened again, surgery would likely be the only solution. Sadly, the condition has returned, and now Ginger needs surgery as soon as possible so she can live pain-free. Ginger’s veterinarian is optimistic about her prognosis and believes she is expected to recover well once the surgery is completed.

Ginger’s story began in 2019 when she was rescued after being dumped by a breeder because she could not have puppies. When her mom brought her home, she promised Ginger that she would finally have the love and safety she deserved. Since then, Ginger has become much more than a pet — she is a cherished member of the family and a loyal companion to her mom and two children.
