About this campaign

Gingy is a rescue since he was 6 mos. He’s been with our family for 8 years and has grown up alongside my three children. I’m a single mom of three kids and two cats, and Gingy has always been the heart of our home. He sleeps cuddling between my arm & body nightly. Wakes me up on my chest every morning. He follows me everywhere, and is deeply bonded to all of us, including his sister Cookie.

Gingy was first seen by Dr. Gauo (spelling pending) at Banfield Hospital, who performed the biopsy and found results consistent with squamous cell carcinoma. He referred us to the Animal Cancer Care Clinic in Fort Lauderdale, where Dr. Lyons, the oncologist, confirmed the diagnosis and discussed treatment options. His symptoms are progressing quickly.

Gingy is incredibly loving & attached to me & youngest son. He climbs on my belly, makes his biscuits, then sleeps on my chest. He stays glued to my side, and follows me from room to room. He comforts my kids when they’re sad and makes us laugh with his sweet, funny habits, like sitting upright like a little human or cuddling with his stuffed toy. He’s truly part of our family.

As a single mom supporting three kids and two cats on my own, the costs of diagnostics, medications, and ongoing care have become overwhelming. Any help would mean the world to us and give Gingy the chance to feel better and stay with the family who loves him so much.
