About this campaign

Stray Animal Foundation of India

Giri was found on the streets of India, barely able to walk. With an extreme limp, we knew they had to step in immediately to help this sweet little pup.

Despite the extraordinary amount of pain he must have been in, Giri was excited to see people and showed his extremely loving personality. He limped his way to his saviors to say hi and receive pets. Giri is the perfect example of how resilient animals can be.

But he has a long road of healing ahead, with X-rays revealing a severely fractured leg which will require surgery and hospitalization.

Since 2020, we’ve helped build up India’s animal welfare infrastructure, providing medical care, food, forever home matching, education, and much more. Because this sweet boy belongs to a highly discriminated breed with an injury history, so his adoption chances are less. So while Giri isn't with forever human, our sanctuary is likely going to be his forever home.

No matter what, we are determined to provide Giri will all the care and love he needs to be a happy, healthy puppy. With this DOGust grant, we could provide sanctuary to even more displaced and underserved animals like Giri. Please share and consider donating if you can!
