Girl is a 6 year old American Pit Bull Terrier in Los Angeles, CA, who needs $2,000 for Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy.

Girl lives with her dad and mom in Los Angeles. Her dad, Spence, adopted Girl six years ago from a neglectful living situation, and later, Charlotte fell in love with both Girl and Spence, a package deal. Girl loves going on adventures with her parents, especially hikes with creeks or running on the beach. She is a total cuddle-bug, always finding a spot on the couch or at the foot of the bed.

After Girl stopped using her leg last week, the urgent care vet diagnosed her with a cruciate ligament tear in her back right leg (or torn doggy ACL), which requires TPLO surgery. Since then, Girl has been having extreme stomach issues. Even with stomach meds and bland food, she cannot keep any food or water down. Girl is now extremely dehydrated and in pain from her torn ligament.

Our baby, Girl, is a people-dog and loves the attention when friends and family come over. Girl is ridicously friendly, finding human and dog friends on every walk we go on. She is a very active dog and loves playing fetch at the nearby park or going on hikes with her parents. Girl is a daddy's girl and follows Spence's every move around the house, pouting whenever he leaves for work.

Charlotte started working with kids with autism this month, taking a big pay cut. Spence is working 30 hours, and applying to second jobs for awhile. Having Girl healthy again would mean the world. She is the light of our lives and it is hearbreaking to see her sick.
