Gizmo Erickson Seaton is a 12-year-old Pekingese in Austin, TX who needs $460 for subcutaneous "SQ" fluids, tests and medications for kidney disease.

We adopted Gizmo as a puppy when he was 6 weeks old on June 29, 2007. My sons were 13 and 15 at the time. My youngest picked Gizmo after the Gremlins movie, my oldest came up with Erickson after the Viking, Leif Erickson. Gizmo has been our emotional support animal and has been the greatest joy to us. He is like a 3rd son to me and is the most amazing dog in the world! When we first adopted him, we found out that he had an ascended testacle and had to be neutered at the risk of having cancer later in life. It breaks my heart every day knowing that he couldn't be bred to have a puppy to carry on his wonderful bloodline.
