About this campaign

Gizmo was born in November 2024 and lived on a farm with his mom and siblings until January 2025 when he came into our life. He joined our family which now consists of my husband , 15 year old son, 4 year old female Shepard/ Pyrenees Rogue and myself. He also has Daily visits from our two nieces 4 and 6 that I watch.

At Gizmo’s 1st vet appointment with us, at 10 weeks, it was discovered he has a grade two heart murmur, we watched it for three weeks with no improvements so we took him to the cardiologist at CVCA in Fairfax Virginia where he received an Echocardiogram confirming he has PDA or Patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) with left to right shunting which needs surgical repair.

Gizmo is the sweetest silliest puppy I have ever had. He bounces around like he has no cares in the world but due to the PDA he plays puppy hard for as bout 20-30 minutes than has to rest and sleeps for an hour or two.
He love trying to puppy hug the humans from behind not realizing how big he is. Gizmo also like to talk and tell us what he wants he is so vocal with his moans, yelps and barks.

This surgery and recovery is an unexpected expense that can not be passed over or postponed, It truly will save Gizmo’s life. It would not only break the hearts of us humans in Gizmo’s life but I believe it would devastate his puppy sister Rogue they are inseparable.
