November 2023 my Fiv+ rescue cat passed away, the sweetest boy ever, and he lived his years out loved, warm and happy for over 10 years. I was devastated when they brought out his empty carrier.
In late 2024 I was gifted a rescue kitten, Gizzy, and she is amazing.

December 2024 she took a turn we went to the emergency vet. They said take her home, keep warm, but had a failure to thrive. I kept her in my tank top to keep warm and loved her, high caloric food and meds, she perked up and is happy.
1/22/26 She stopped drinking, eating, and is sick again. Gizzy's bill yesterday was $1,300+ and today we are waiting more xrays for likely obstruction of GI

She is happy, loves everyone, all pets, people, and brings such joy to even non cat people and deserves a long happy life. She was a runt that is so happy and loving

With my heart failure I do PT 3 days a week, have lost a of my income from being hospitalized and all the medical expenses, doc appointments, fmla cut back hours I have nothing left but can't give up on her
