At God’s Paws Rescue in Louisiana, every life matters. As a small, no-kill rescue, they are doing everything they can to save as many dogs as possible—but they need your help. Right now, almost all of the dogs at the rescue still need to be spayed or neutered, and funding is stretched thin.

Among them are pups like Dewey, whose journey has been filled with heartbreak. Abandoned as a tiny pup at a dumpster, Dewey was lucky enough to be taken in by a kind-hearted community member. But when his rescuer passed away, his world was turned upside down once again. With nowhere else to go, Dewey’s family reached out to God’s Paws Rescue for help.

Now safe at the rescue, Dewey is struggling to adjust. He’s shy, unsure, and still learning to trust. But with time, patience, and love, he is slowly coming out of his shell—and his rescuers know he will one day make a wonderful companion for a lucky family.
