About this campaign
Gomez was adopted at one and a half years of age. He has been with the family since. He has three other paw friends and three feline ones. He has been suffering from this tumor for two months now. Before I was able to afford a vet visit, I started him on 100 mg of gabapentin. He is still on that, in addition to the pain medication the vet gave him.
Gomez was taken to Breakbill Vet Hospital in Sherman, Texas. He has been going there for years. He saw Dr. Schwin. She took a look at his tumor and gave me that look. Gomes will require what's called radical surgery to remove part of his jaw as well as the cancer. At his age, his chances are slim that he will make it through the surgery. But, not impossible. I am at an impasse.
Gomez is a small dog with a pit bull attitude. He doesn't just walk; he prances like an Arabian stallion! He, when feeling like himself, will run around the large lab and make her mind. He loves to sit in your lap and let you pet him.
I am on disability. I was injured on the job. In 2022, my husband was a passenger in an auto accident and hasn't been able to work. We are waiting for his disability to kick in. In today's economy, paying the light bill is a struggle.
