About this campaign

Goose is a playful 2-year-old tabby from New York whose joyful personality fills his home with laughter. But right now, this sweet boy needs help. Goose was discovered as a tiny kitten in 2024, living in the basement of an Airbnb with his siblings and mother. While rescuing the family, one little kitten stood out immediately — the feisty one climbing right out of the box. That kitten was Goose, and from that moment on, he stole the heart of a young boy named Finn.

Since coming home, Goose has grown into a 15-pound bundle of mischief and love. He greets his family at the door, flops onto the rug for belly rubs, and curls up purring on his mom’s chest at night. He loves chasing his feline sister Lilly and has a hilarious favorite game: fetching hair ties and dropping them at your feet until you throw them again. If you stop playing, he’ll tap your leg to remind you the game isn’t over yet.

But recently, Goose hasn’t been feeling like himself.

For months, he has been struggling with recurrent ear infections that cause inflammation and discomfort. Despite treatment with antibiotics and steroids, the infections kept returning. During a veterinary exam in January 2026, the cause was finally discovered.

Goose has developed a nasopharyngeal polyp, a growth located behind the nasal passages and ear canal. These polyps can cause chronic infections, breathing problems, and significant discomfort if left untreated. The good news is that this condition can be treated with surgery to remove the polyp, and Goose’s veterinarian is optimistic that once it’s removed, he should make a full recovery.

The procedure is estimated to cost $1,503.35 – $1,879.19.

Paws 4 A Cure has generously provided a $400 grant, but Goose’s family still needs to raise $1,102 to move forward with the surgery he needs.

Goose is more than a pet — he’s a constant companion and a source of comfort for his family. His playful antics and affectionate personality brighten even the hardest days.

Right now, Goose’s mom is going through a difficult financial period after a stretch of underemployment, but she is doing everything she can to make sure Goose gets the care he needs.

Your donation will help cover:

• Surgery to remove the nasopharyngeal polyp

• Veterinary care and monitoring

• Medication and recovery support

Every contribution — no matter the size — helps bring Goose closer to relief so he can get back to playing fetch with hair ties, chasing Lilly, and greeting his family at the door.

If you’re unable to donate, sharing Goose’s story can make a life-changing difference. Together, we can help Goose breathe easier and get back to the happy, mischievous life he loves.

5/18/26 Update

We are so excited to share that Goose has officially had his surgery to remove the nasopharyngeal polyp that had been causing him so much discomfort! After months of painful ear infections, inflammation, and repeated treatments that only provided temporary relief, Goose finally received the procedure he needed. His veterinary team is very optimistic that removing the polyp will allow him to fully recover and return to the happy, playful cat his family knows and loves.

Goose is now home healing with his family by his side, and they are already seeing glimpses of his mischievous personality shining through again. Whether he’s asking someone to throw a hair tie one more time, flopping down for belly rubs, or keeping an eye on his sister Lilly, it’s clear this sweet boy is feeling more comfortable already.

From the moment Goose climbed out of that rescue box as a fearless little kitten, he captured the hearts of everyone around him—especially Finn, who instantly knew Goose was meant to be part of the family. Since then, Goose has filled their home with laughter, affection, and endless personality. Seeing him struggle to breathe comfortably and battle chronic infections was heartbreaking, and being able to move forward with surgery has meant the world to them.

Goose’s mom worked tirelessly to make this care possible during an incredibly difficult financial period, but she could not have done it alone. Your donations, shares, and support helped lift a tremendous burden and gave Goose the chance to heal.

Because of your kindness, Goose now has the opportunity to get back to the joyful life he loves—greeting his family at the door, chasing Lilly through the house, and demanding endless games of fetch.

Thank you for standing beside Goose and his family during this journey. Your compassion truly changed his life. 💕
