About this campaign
Grace has been a member of our family since 2015. We met her at the age of 1 when her first family returned her to the breeder. She is our first rescue dog and has changed our lives for the better. Living in Central Pennsylvania, Grace loves being outside and is a true water dog. While she is getting up in years, she still has a lot of life left!
Grace loves people and other animals alike. She is a loyal protector of our home and is always checking to make sure that I am close by. I can always count on her to greet me by the door with a wagging tail. Grace is an extremely affectionate and intelligent dog that completes our family. We cannot picture our home without this happy dog around.
Grace is a special dog due to her compassion and concern for others. She has a cat brother named Mr. Gray that she grooms and plays with daily. This dog shows concern for her human family by waiting for me as we walk together. Grace can sense that I walk slower due to my disability, and refuses to leave me behind.
We recently noticed that Grace had a lump growing by her butt regions. Our Vet identified the need for mass removal by her anal region. They estimated that surgery ranges from $1200 to $1500 to remove the mass, with an additional $290 cost for histopathology of the mass.
My financial hardship stems from permanent disability from psoriatic arthritis and joint deformation. I am unable to work in my lifelong career as a contractor and I am on a fixed income. Grace has been there for me in times of ill health and I wish to do the same for her.
