About this campaign
Grace is fighting for her life.
She was brutally attacked by another dog and rushed to the emergency room in severe pain and shock. Due to the seriousness of her injuries, she was immediately referred to Texas A&M for lifesaving, advanced care. Veterinarians fear she has suffered significant trauma, including the possibility of a broken elbow and other internal injuries.
Despite everything she has enduredāincluding abandonment in her pastāGrace remains the sweetest, most gentle soul who only wants love and comfort. Watching her suffer has been absolutely heartbreaking. Her care is urgent, intensive, and incredibly costly. We have already spent over $12,000, and the bills continue to rise.
Your donation will help cover:
\- Emergency and specialty veterinary care - Advanced diagnostics and imaging - Pain management, stabilization, and surgery if needed - Ongoing treatment and recovery support
Grace didnāt choose this painābut she deserves every chance to heal. Please consider helping us give her that chance. Every donation, no matter the size, goes directly toward her lifesaving care.
1/15/26 Update
We have both encouraging and difficult news to share about Grace.
The good news first: Grace has come through her surgery beautifully. She healed remarkably well, is comfortable, and is truly back to being herselfāgentle, loving, and happy. After everything sheās been through, seeing her wag her tail and enjoy affection again has meant the world to all of us.
During her surgery, veterinarians discovered heartbreaking news: cancer was found when Graceās spleen was removed. After many conversations with her medical team, we were faced with an incredibly difficult decision.
We have chosen to focus on Graceās quality of life. The veterinarians explained that Grace can live happily for an estimated 6ā12 months with comfort-focused care. Pursuing aggressive treatment could extend her life by only about six months, with just a 50% chance of success, and would likely involve additional stress and discomfort for her.
Right now, Grace is stable, pain-free, and enjoying her days filled with love, rest, and gentle careāand that is what matters most to us.
Her emergency care, surgery, diagnostics, and specialty treatment have already exceeded $12,000, and ongoing monitoring, medications, and comfort care will continue to add to that total. Thank you for standing with Grace. Every donation and every share helps us give her the gentle, loving care she deserves for the time she has ahead.
2/1/26 Update
Gracie is doing incredibly well and her recovery has been truly amazing.
While our hearts are broken after learning that the mass found during her spleen removal was cancer, we are choosing to focus on love, comfort, and making every moment count.
Gracie is surrounded by so much love, and we will continue to give her the best life possible for as long as we are blessed with her. We appreciate everyone who has shown her love and has donated or shared her campaign. Giving her a chance at retirement has been costly and we still need to pay off her medical bills. But we are so grateful to have more time with her and be able to show her love and compassion.
