In 2008 my girlfriends birthday was just around the corner. She loves dachshunds so I started looking on local sites. I saw a woman that showed pictures of her puppies, they were all placed in her home environment, which I loved that about her. I emailed her and got the cutest picture back. The last girl puppy she had. I fell in love immediately! I immediately made arrangements to meet!

Grace is the sweetest, alpha female! She has a brother, Bama. a longhair silver dapple, a friend gave me in 2012. Bama had been abandoned by his first mom. These two love each other! I am definitely her person! She's blind. She maneuvers so well up and down the ramp, she barks at me, but the funny thing is, I have had her so long I know what she is asking for, maybe she knows me better.

Grace has a bear that she has been attached to since she was a puppy. She loves him, and she is not shy about showing her love if you can relate! We named him Sir-Humps-A-Lot. That should help you understand their interaction! Grace is a precious baby to me. She has been with me for almost 16 years, May 01, 2024. She has been a very healthy girl. I love this little girl with all my heart!

I noticed a small mass on her left chest. I've had fatty masses removed a few times with no more than a local anesthetic. This started out like that but it has grown fast. Now its 3-4 inches wide, and 1/2 inch thick. Her VET said she is healthy enough right now for surgery. She just had bloodwork, heart, lung checkup. VET explained it will grow and she would like to remove it before any pain.

I have been struggling for a while now. My grandmother is my responsibility and she has just entered Hospice. I have a huge expense with that coming. I do the best I can but I drive a semi truck and its hard to make money to do anything more than pay the bills.
