About this campaign

Gracie was found at a breeder nearby as a companion to my older silky terrier. She’s been spunky and rambunctious ever since. She climbs trees and chases squirrels bringing total joy to those who watch her antics. She’s a happy dog who follows me everywhere and guards our home with commitment. She’s a joyous part of our family. She’s sleeps with me and even took a cross country trip to Virginia.

She is the home manager who compels our other cats and dogs to do well . She guards the home and alerts me to every visitor or passerby. I really enjoy her every move. She follows me everywhere and waits patiently while I wash a dish or clean the fridge. She loves attention and thrives on physical affection.

I’m a senior on fixed income, my spouse was in navy for 30 years and is wholly disabled now. This dog Gracie is our companion and our heart! Please help us if you can

Gracie declined this week on Monday. She began to throw up, and breathe shallow. She had a rough night Tuesday prompting a visit to emergency vet who treated her for pneumonia. She is at UCDavis now under dr Phillips care and she’s being ventilated to help her breathe. Her heart and lungs are tired. So we hope the rest will allow her to recover from compromised lungs ! I love her

She loves her brother and tolerates the cat, never harassing him, but eats his cat food whenever possible. She loves birds and wildlife. Skunks too! She loves to chase squirrels about the yard and up the trees. She loves running at the park as fast as her legs will allow. Watching her run is the best part of my day!
