Gracie is a 12 yr old Shilo Shepherd/Lab mix. She has shown incredible resilience throughout her life. When she was really young she was hit by a bus & they said she may never walk again. She definitely proved them wrong. Then had major complications with a pregnancy, she almost lost her life. none of the pups made it. I got her from a friend lil over 5 year ago from a friend. Very well behaved.

Since March 2026 she started to have medical issues. Legs giving out one her, strange ear infections, blood counts off, hacking coughs,eye dropping, vomiting, very fatigued. Lot of visits to Maquoketa Veterinary Clinic. Recently Onyx &Breezy gave her a grant to pay for a urinalysis for Cushings disease, negative. Now waiting for Cystology results as she may have cancer. Her meds are expensive.

Most well behaved dog in the world. U can leave a plate of food in front of her, walk away and she won't touch it. She sleeps right next to me with her head on her pillow. She's always smiling, loving, and sweet. She's a big fluff ball. She has a little dauchador friend at home named Milo.

I lost my job at the end of April. Since March I've spent $1013 in vet bills. I've exhausted all of my savings. I did just get a job. But it will take me a while to get ahead again. I do have a few more applications out for grants and more to file. Anything would help.
