Gracie is a 16-year-old Poodle mix in New London, WI, who needs $2,000 for urgent surgery.

When "Our Pack Animal Rescue" saw horrific pictures of animals discovered in a hoarding situation, they immediately offered to save Gracie.

"The images we received were heartbreaking," Brook G., with the rescue, tells Waggle. "Her eyes were so infected they've completely dried up and begun flaking layers off. She is completely unable to close them or blink."

Gracie needs immediate surgery to remove her eyes so she can live out her life without chronic pain.

"Gracie now has a warm, cozy foster home and receives nothing but love and the care she never knew before," Brook says. "Despite Gracie's outward appearance and age, this little lady has bountiful bursts of playful energy. She dashes at you as fast as she can when she hears that you're near and wants your affection."

Gracie is stunning proof of how resilient animals are despite all odds.
