Gracie is a 2 year old Golden Retriever in Oswego, IL, who needs $2,000 for Skin Revision.

We stumbled upon a family who had puppies to adopt. We adopted 2 out of the litter so we have brother and sister. My daughter has the boy dog. We lost a family dog a few years ago so we had not been ready to open our hearts. We found out they were born on my dads birthday so it was meant to be. We named her after a name my mom used so she is part of both of my parents.

Gracie had a surgery to remove multiple blood clots and the recovery has been difficult. She was in sepsis and we almost lost her. She is on heavy antibiotics to kill infection but may need a skin revision and other treatments before it's all over. Plainfield Illinois animal medical center is where she has treatment and is being taken care of. They saved her life

Gracie has given us love back in our hearts. We were struggling with the loss of our family's dog for 2 years . I wasn't ready. When we found out she was born on my dads birthday it sealed the deal. Our home was missing something and was too quiet. Now our kids are grown and we have little footsteps on our hearts again. She has definitely made our lives better, happy and full of joy.

This injury is a sudden medical emergency and we have spent over 6000 on credit cards. She may need cat scan and surgery to repair her skin. We are out of options. We cannot get any emergency care or surgery with out payment
