About this campaign
Gracie was gifted to us at 7 weeks old from a dear family from church. She is a Scottish Fold with a Scottish Fold mother and a large Manx black panther-like father. We are currently in a temporary townhome since the home that is in the video was wiped out by a detached garage fire that caught our attic on fire. Daughter was home alone, sitting with Gracie next to the gas fireplace. No one hurt!
Gracie is very loving and over the years has become a purr-monster and snuggler. She is very possessive of us and does not really appreciate visitors taking up our time. Cat-sitters are a bit hard to come by because of this, she usually makes her displeasure known to our visitors if she happens to be in the room. Not a full-on attack, but a half-hearted hiss and swipe is common.
Her folded ears make her look grumpy/stressed. She loves chewing paper. But, she literally smiles when parked in our laps and purrs loudly. An odd idiosyncracy is that she really does not like long-haired brunette females for some reason. (boisterous kittenhood home?) She seems to like men and will welcome household contractors by lolling belly up across the contractor's clipboards!
Lone Tree Veterinary since '64! We are not sure what happened, but in June she had a terrible bout with indigestion and became lethargic, tail down, no purring. She seemed on the mend again until a few days ago the mysterious lethargy, vomit with no hairballs, losing weight and not eating started up again. Visit yesterday and another ultrasound planned for tomorrow. Hoping!
Blessed, truly, but will run up my credit cards at a hard post-fire time. Zippy our therapy horse passed spent $12k trying to save him since he had been serving autistic/cancer kiddos in adaptive riding. Appreciate any!
